What is HD video anyways?

High Definition video refers to any video (on TV, computer, or disc) that is of higher resolution than standard definition (720px x 480px). High definition has been around since the 1980s; however only recently has it become a house-hold term, due to the decrease costs of HD plasma and LCD television sets, and the government's requirement for all over-the-air TV to be switched to digital on February 17, 2009. Simply put, high definition video is clearer, more vivid, and sharper than standard definition video.

Do I really need to have my video shot in HD?

The short answer is no. Not every project is suited for HD. For videos being distributed via the web or DVD, having your video shot in HD will give no extra benefit. However, if you will be showing your video on an HD TV or projector or want it put on Blu Ray disc, having your video shot and produced in high definition will give you far superior results.

Is it really that much better?

Yes. Simply walking in to any electronics store will show you the pristine quality of HD. Footage is 6 times as detailed, colors are much clearer and edges are sharper. Due to the fact that real HD footage is so large, it is almost impossible to show you the difference on the web. Feel free to contact us in order to setup an appointment to see the difference live.

Do you have all the equipment in house to shoot HD?

Yes. We own several HD cameras. Our high definition video shoots are recorded directly to memory, giving you the best-possible quality. All of our HD cameras have the capability of shooting in a huge array of resolutions as well as frame-rates.
